Simple Viral Marketing

 Viral Marketing

Viral marketing is a cool term for word of mouth on the Internet. It is where people hear about your website service or products through other people.

Sending an email with an advertisement on the bottom is a good way to spread the word.

Having a newsletter also increases your visibility online.

There are also forums that discuss products and services and rate them.

Viral marketing’s referral technique works like the snowball effect, which increases exponentially the visibility of your business.

Getting personal recommendations to try a product or service is a great way to build credibility and trust in the company. Repeating these referrals to other people makes the customer actively engage themselves and not passively hear about the products and the advantages of the product

ing is a great way to keep advertising costs way down. Passing along an article from an ezine keeps the message intact, is free and easy to pass along, and doesn’t cost anything, but offers a clear benefit to both parties involved.

Here are some ways to make your viral marketing message work.

You can give away a free article with a pass it on link on the bottom of the article, or a free demo version of your product, or offer a free trial of your service on your website and include a share it with your friend button at the bottom of the page.

You could also hold a contest and capture people’s contact information and each time their friends come to the site, they are entered into the contest again.

Starting your own affiliate program, where affiliates generate traffic to your website with banner ads, text links, letters of referrals, etc. You pay for results only.

Viral marketing is the way to achieve high traffic cheaply and effectively on the web. Provide your customers with a compelling reason to pass on the message and you are well on your way to big-time traffic.

The Simple Online Sales Letter

 A Real Online Business

When you have an online business you do not have the perks of selling your product in person. Therefore, your words are very important; they make or break a sale.

Writing up a sales letter means getting into the minds of your readers. You should know who your customer base is, what age group, gender, etc. You need to use psychology and tactics that will draw your readers to buy immediately.

Your sales copy should be captivating so that your customer is interested in reading through it, however long it is. Some sales letters are twenty pages long, but still, keep the readers attention the entire time.

The sales letter needs to fully describe the problem the customer may be having and why your product is the only solution.

When you are writing your sales letter, you need to make sure your readers trust you and that your product is absolutely the best. Your sales letter should describe your product in detail so that the reader understands completely what is being sold.

Some people add a claim that includes a number. For instance, you may want to mention how much money someone made after reading your product that gives away all the secrets to making millions.

The sales letter should make the reader feel that there is a sense of urgency, that they must take action and purchase the product now. There may be a few slots remaining or eBooks left to sell, or there may be a certain time where the product will not be for sale anymore.

Testimonials from excited customers whose lives have been changed will only guarantee sales.

You want your order form to be visible and the price should have a strike mark through it indicating that there was a price reduction.

Bonuses also entice the customer to purchase your product.

A sneaky approach to selling your product is to state how many other web sites are scamming customers and how you as an owner were scammed too, which propelled you to create your product.

All these techniques make an excellent sales copy with a lot of hours of tweaking the writing so it sounds perfect.

As always,
To your success!

Strong Leaders Are Lifetime Students

Strong Leaders Are Lifetime Students

Entrepreneurial leaders do not have a mindset that adapts to failure. Things go wrong, of course, but entrepreneurs don’t call them “failures” they call them “glitches, mistakes, setbacks” – but not failing.

When one such entrepreneur was asked about the hardest decision he ever had to make, he answered that he didn’t know what a hard decision was. An entrepreneur will approach decision-making with the idea that there’s a strong likelihood that he/she will be wrong. This doesn’t dissuade them – to the contrary they just do the best they can and worry about handling obstacles as they arise.

Another way of looking at it is to realize that you will make mistakes, so make them as quickly as you can in order to learn from them. A good leader doesn’t view making mistakes as negative or irrevocable, he/she feels free to press on and try something new. There is the belief that something useful has been learned, and hopefully not at a high cost.

Let’s face it; if you’re going to live this life you’re going to make mistakes. Make use of them as learning tools and don’t make the same ones twice.

Entrepreneurs also know the value of “intuition”. While you shouldn’t act on the results of tossing a coin, there is something to be said about your “gut” feeling about the situation. Very often business people become so involved with systems and checks-and-balances that they forget about that “gut” instinct they had when they started.

While not strictly logical, intuition does draw on a combination of experience, knowledge, and analysis as well as a lot of “gut” information you may have forgotten that you have.

You become a strong leader in your business by “practicing” being a leader. It’s not a course you can take at a business college; it’s learned in the school of life as you’re doing business.

As a leader, you have to set standards and higher standards for your own behavior. You must do this because appearances are sometimes more important than facts.

Consider for a moment that as an entrepreneur with a small business you’re planning on approaching a bank for a loan. You know that you must present a well thought out and concise Business Plan, with all the projections for the use of the capital you’ll borrow and the repayment of the same. You learned that from all those seminars you attended when considering becoming an entrepreneur, but is there something that you weren’t taught in seminars? What about “presentation”?

I don’t mean the presentation of the Business Plan, we all know that must be well done and attractive. What I’m talking about is YOU! Do you maintain the appearance of leadership? Do you project a confident appearance of a successful entrepreneur? You may not have the faintest idea today how you’re going to pay for that advertising bill coming due on the 15th, but you’re not going to give that banker that information.

Presenting yourself as a confident entrepreneur, filled with the excitement of your business idea, and a strong leader of your team (whether it’s 1 or 10 employees) is what will make you a winner and add untold weight to your Business Plan. After all, you are your business to that banker so you’d better look good and confident.

To protect that faith that your people and your customers have in your organization, always ask yourself these two questions:

  1. Could this be interpreted by anyone in a way that would shake their faith in my leadership?
  2. Could this be misinterpreted and held against me or the company?

Strong leaders know that leadership is a lifelong learning experience, and when they make a mistake they simply continue to move forward. The ability to bounce back is a quality that every entrepreneur I’ve ever known has in abundance.

When you blunder, get up and try again quickly. As one high-tech executive, I knew put it, “Our strategy is to fail forward fast.”

As always,
To your success!

How To Live Up to Your Greatest Potential (Part 7)

 Delegation

If you haven't read the first part of this post, go here Part 1

If you haven't read the second part of this post, go here Part 2

If you haven't read the third part of this post, go here Part 3

If you haven't read the fourth part of this post, go here Part 4

If you haven't read the fifth part of this post, go here Part 5

If you haven't read the sixth part of this post, go here Part 6

With this system, you will have not only increased your efficiency but also reduced some of the stress in your day. Stress can get in the way of efficiency. Your new efficiency will help you develop your potential. It is, in fact, a part of living up to your potential.

Another important part of efficiency is in delegating work. If you are in a position where you have assistants or designated people under your supervision, you need to learn to delegate. If you are not in such a position yet, you still need to know - since you're working on developing your potential you very likely will be some day.

Delegating work is difficult for many people. Some find it hard to ask others to do things for them - others find it hard not to demand that others do tasks. Delegating is an art.

First, you need to realize that the people under your supervision are PEOPLE. Seldom, if ever, should you demand - that takes away self-respect. In order to achieve a happy and co-operative crew, you need to help them build self-respect and self-confidence. A happy and co-operative crew is an asset to you. Demands do not promote self-respect and co-operation. Oh, it's probably effective to demand in the short run - but in the long run, you will be better off to gain co-operation without demanding.

People who are asked to do a task, are given explanations and clear instructions, and are praised for a job well done will grow in self-respect. They will also respect you as a good supervisor. If you hesitate to ask for their assistance, your crew will feel that you do not trust them or have faith in their abilities. This affects their self-respect and, as a reaction, will affect their respect for you, as well.

When you delegate work, don't delegate just the "junk" tasks. Your crew needs to be given some important tasks to do as well as unimportant ones. The important task gives them a sense of the respect you have for them and the faith you have in their abilities. It's a good idea to save some "junk" tasks for yourself. Perhaps the most respected and effective boss is the one about whom the crew says, "He/She never gives us anything to do that they wouldn't do themselves." Why? Because, by their actions, the boss is saying that, though their position is above others, they are still just "plain people."

The delegation of tasks is important because you can gain in effectiveness and get more done if you properly supervise a crew. Don't feel embarrassed or hesitant about delegating work. If it helps you to shine, it helps your crew shine, too. A well-run, effective department is a credit to the whole team. With proper delegating, you can help your crew achieve their potential as well as achieving your own.

All of us have untapped potential - perhaps even areas of genius - that we have neglected to develop. Whether your concept of success has to do with business, love, friendship, sports, a combination of these or something else, more fully developing your potential will help you achieve your goals. If you can learn to assess your potential, set realistic goals, and go after those goals with determination, organization, and purpose, you will use your potential more fully, gain confidence, and be a happier and more successful person.

As always,
To your success!
