“The Law of Least Resistance”

“The Law of Least Resistance”

Another relevant principle (from the realms science and engineering) that should govern your business practices comes in similar forms from several different sources. It's called “The Law of Least Resistance” and what it states is that an electric current, water flow, air flow, traffic flow, etc., in a closed system, will always seek out and follow the path of least resistance. Now, I'm sure anyone can understand this simple concept because it applies to practically every facet of existence, even (no.....especially) humans.

Most things in nature tend to flow or move in such a way as to minimize restrictions or obstacles, business is no different. If you've ever heard the phrase “Money Loves Speed” and wondered what it meant, well here's the answer – “The Law of Least Resistance”. It makes perfect sense too because without any obstacles in the way to slow the flow of money it will rush to its destination. So for anyone who is interested in starting a business or growing an existing business I would advise you to look for that path of least resistance. This concept should also find its way into your marketing strategy. In other words, you should provide the path of least resistance in your sales funnel in order to make it as easy as possible for your customers to take advantage of what you are offering. Any business or person that follows these concepts will have the greatest probability of success.

To Your Success,
Christopher Gibson
